Restaurant Reservation Software Pricing: OpenTable vs Resy vs Tock vs SevenRooms (2026)

By the HospitalityStack editors · written from hotel & resort F&B experience

The short answer

If you want a large diner network and don't mind per-cover fees, look at OpenTable. If you want one predictable monthly fee with no per-cover charges, look at Resy or Tock (both are on the same pricing page now). If what you mostly want is to own the guest data and market to it, ask SevenRooms for a quote. Every price below came from the vendor's own pricing page (checked Oct 2026).

OpenTable: published plans and cover fees

OpenTable lists three plans: Basic $149/mo (US only), Core $299/mo and Pro $499/mo. Network cover fees: on Basic they're free for 30 days and then $1.50 per cover; on Core and Pro they're $1 per network cover. Reservations made through your own website cost $0.25/cover or a $49/mo flat fee on Basic, and are included on Core and Pro. Prepaid experiences carry a 2% service fee.

OpenTable says you only pay for seated diners, not no-shows or cancellations, and phone bookings and walk-ins are free. The standard contract is one year and auto-renews unless you give 30 days' notice. Table management (Smart Assign) starts on Core; automated email campaigns and post-dining surveys are on Pro.

Resy and Tock: flat monthly fees

On the shared Resy/Tock pricing page, Resy Platform costs $289/mo and Platform 360 costs $459/mo (it adds an advanced analytics dashboard). The Tock-style Essential plan is $289/mo with a 3% fee on prepayments, and Premium is $459/mo with a 2% prepayment fee. Standard card processing fees apply on top. The FAQ says there are no per-cover fees and no per-reservation fees.

Tock's strength is ticketed events and prepaid experiences: tasting menus, wine dinners, classes. Resy's is everyday reservations and walk-in waitlists.

SevenRooms: quote only

SevenRooms doesn't publish prices. Its Starter package lists CRM and guest profiles, branded reservations and waitlist, table management, reputation management, basic marketing automations, and access to DoorDash and Deliveroo reservation marketplace users with no cover fees. Email marketing, event management, Voice AI, WhatsApp/text marketing, API access and a multi-venue Group Portal are add-ons. Get a written quote before you compare it with the plans above.

How to compare the real cost

Pull 90 days of cover counts and split them by source (the reservation network, your website, phone, walk-in). On OpenTable, multiply network covers by the per-cover fee and add the monthly fee. On Resy or Tock, the cost is mostly the flat fee, plus the prepayment percentage if you sell experiences. Then ask every vendor about contract length, POS integration with your system, and who owns the guest data if you leave.
